Time Glider

I don't even know what to say about this assignment. I have tried and tried and after seeing another student had trouble with this assignment I figured that maybe it wasn't just me. I chose to my timeglider on the history of Microsoft Windows for the past 25 years. I went to this link to get started. This website has a lot of problems that needs to be fixed. I don't think this was a very good website for teachers to use because it is to frustrating. I will stick to the simple Microsoft word timeline unless they figure out a way to work this out.
Below is my timeglider, which is very very plain because I couldn't figure anything out with it.

Grading my Resume

Whoa....let's just say that I didn't get the grade I expected. It is funny though because the same resume I turned into my teacher during my undergrad I got an "A." When using this grader it says that my resume was to long and it could be done a little more professional. I submitted my husband's resume and it said it was a good one. I guess I know who to work on my resume to give me the better grade. Funny how a get a good grade from one person and a not so good from this.

What did you do?
I went to rezagrade and put in my resume document.
What did you learn?
I learned I need to update my resume.
How can you use the new learning?
This could be a cool system if they have something to grade papers for us teachers =)

I downloaded MS PhotoStory and then found pictures online of cyberbullying. I found the answers to my questions and then put it all together using the Photostory. I wasn't sure about this project at first....after I got to playing around with it I figured it out. This is a really neat way to add on to information you are teaching in your classroom. This would be a neat way to communicate with parents also. You could show different things being done in your classroom while explaining it. Here is the link to my youtube video.

What did you do & What did you learn?
How can you use the new learning?

As you can see it was successfully downloaded to the file. The final step is to click download and then it will pop up and allow you to watch the video in whatever file you chose. This could be used if your computer doesn't have a system that will support the audio or media file.

Appropriate a You Tube Video-Top Ten Things you don't learn about teaching in college

What did you do & What did you learn?
-Well this took some major thinking but after a while I got smart and decided to google how to save a youtube video and I had it finished within minutes. I went to google and asked how to save a youtube video to your computer. They gave several websites to use. I chose http://keepvid.com/ I then put in the URL of the video and hit download and it downloaded www.freecorder.com
I downloaded it to my computer. Now when I go to youtube and type in the title and it comes up. Above the video it will say download wizard and I clicked download FLV and then it comes up to where I can save it to my computer.
How can you use the new learning?
-If I find a video that I really like I can save it and then reuse it years and years later.

Below I used the snipping tool to show that it did save to my computer..

Here is the video that I chose...I thought it was cute for all teachers to see...add a little humor to our lives!

Jeopardy Lab

I just loved this website!!! I use Jeopardy a lot in my class for reviews and this website made it a lot easier to use. Normally I create it through PowerPoint but this is a lot easier to do. The questions that I used to create this Jeopardy Lab is one that I used for my special education class when we were doing a chapter review.

My Jeopardy Template

What did you do?
-I went to Jeopardy labs and just entered information into the slots.
What did you learn?
-I learned that we can create a Jeopardy game without using PowerPoint. It was confusing first because I put my quetions and anwers backwards.
How can you use the new learning?
-I use Jeopardy all the time as a review so I could use this as a study review instead of using worksheets.
