Learning Style Questions
1. What are the learning styles?
-Learning styles are the way people learn. The different learning styles are spatial, auditory, linguistic, kinesthetic, mathematical, interpersonal and intrapersonal. You may be more than just one type of learner.
2.How can awareness of learning styles improve performance in a learning environment?
-If you want to have a successful learning environment then you have to be able to instruct in ways that are going to cover all of your learners. Not everyone learns the same way so you need to have different techniques in teaching.
3. Does any of this matter?
- I think that it matters because a student may not be interested or understand if they are a kinesthetic learner and all you do is talk (auditory). I think it is important to try and cover all types of learning styles.

Learning Styles after the Survey
For some reason it wouldn't show up when I pasted my results by numbers. But it says that I have a multimodal (VARK) learning preference. I know that I was kinesthetic and visual learner. After seeing the results with Read/Write on it, it makes sense because if I am ever trying to put something together I have to have the directions written right in front of me to put it together. This would be a good survey to do at the beginning of the class year so help you determine your type of instruction based on the students you have. Obviously you can tell what type of learner you think they are but like me I had extra added in =)

Learning Styles Before Survey
After looking over everything I have always believe I am a physical (kinesthetic) learner. I always learn and do much better when I can actually have something in front of me learning how to do it. Sad to say but I don't pay much attention when someone is trying to stand up front and read something to me. I also believe I am social (interpersonal) learner as well. I do better when I am working with others because sometimes they can explain something in a way you never thought. I guess we will see if I am right on my next blog! =)

Browser Wars
1. What is a web browser? - A web browser is a type of software application that allows people to go to webpages and websites
2. List the most popular 4 web browsers currently? Which browser do you use?
-The four most popular ones are Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome and Safari. I currently use Internet Explorer but I have used Safari a little bit.
3. What does the term 'browser war' mean and what drives the competition between web browsers? What is the big deal in having the #1 browser?
-According to Wikipedia, it pretty much means a competition to have/use the most usage of a webpage/website. It becomes a rivarly between two websites to determine which is the better one. The big deal in having the number 1 browser is it is better for the marketplace and it becomes a big deal for the media which will spread it around even more.
What did you do?
-I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and then answered the questions.
What did you learn?
-I learned about the different types of web browsers and how they are all different.
How can you use the new learning?
-We can use different types of web browsers in our classrooms. It would help them enhance their technology by switching it up.
